Terms of Service
The rules governing the use of Kiboo. Read them before using the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern access to and use of the Kiboo service, including the website kiboo.pet and related web applications ('Service'), provided by Simone Cislaghi ('Kiboo', 'we', 'us').
By accessing the Service or creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use Kiboo.
If you use Kiboo on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Service Description
Kiboo is an AI-assisted pet care web application. The Service offers, depending on the subscribed plan:
- Management of pet profiles (dogs and cats)
- AI-generated weekly nutrition plans
- Health monitoring (weight, symptoms, daily logs)
- Vaccination registry with expiry alerts
- Vet appointment scheduler
- Personalised exercise guides
- AI training guides
- AI vet assistant via chat
- Multi-pet dashboard and achievements system
Kiboo reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, subject to section 16 of these Terms.
3. Account and Registration
3.1 Account creation
Registration takes place exclusively via Google OAuth. By signing in, you authorise Kiboo to receive from Google the profile information described in the Privacy Policy.
3.2 Requirements
- You must be at least 16 years old to register
- You may create only one account per Google email address
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your Kiboo account
3.3 Account responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account. The account is personal and may not be assigned, shared or transferred to third parties.
4. Plans, Pricing and Payments
4.1 Available plans

Prices include VAT where applicable. Kiboo reserves the right to change prices with 30 days' notice by email.
4.2 Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of the billing period. You can disable automatic renewal at any time from the Profile section.
4.3 Payment processing
All payments are processed by Stripe Inc. Credit card data is never transmitted to Kiboo's servers. See Stripe Privacy Policy for details.
4.4 Plan changes
On upgrade, the new plan activates immediately and the remaining period is prorated. On downgrade, the new plan becomes active at the end of the current paid period.
5. Free Trial
Kiboo offers a 7-day free trial on Standard and Pro plans for new subscribers. During the trial:
- You have full access to all features of the selected plan
- No charge during the 7-day trial
- Cancel before the trial expires at no cost
- If you do not cancel, the plan activates automatically at the end of the trial
- Each user is entitled to one free trial per plan
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
Important: by explicitly requesting immediate activation of the Service (which occurs automatically upon subscription), you agree that the right of withdrawal lapses once the Service has been fully performed. If you withdraw within 14 days before full use, you are entitled to a proportional refund for the unused portion.
How to exercise the right of withdrawal
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an explicit communication to hello@kiboo.pet within 14 days of purchase, indicating:
- First and last name
- Account email address
- Purchase date
- Explicit withdrawal statement
The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt, via the same payment method used.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Plan cancellation
You can cancel your plan at any time from the Profile section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7.2 Account deletion
You can delete your Kiboo account from Profile > Delete account. Account deletion results in:
- Immediate termination of all active subscriptions (no pro-rata refund, unless withdrawing within 14 days)
- Permanent deletion of all data within 30 days
- Data cannot be recovered after deletion
7.3 Refunds
Kiboo does not issue refunds for partial paid periods, except as required by law or at Kiboo's discretion in exceptional circumstances. For refund requests: hello@kiboo.pet.
8. Acceptable Use Policy
By using Kiboo, you agree not to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Upload illegal, offensive, defamatory or rights-infringing content
- Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without authorisation
- Reverse engineer or decompile Kiboo's software
- Resell or sublicence access to the Service
- Use the Service to provide professional veterinary advice to third parties
- Abuse AI limits through multiple accounts or other workarounds
Kiboo reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without notice and without refund.
9. User Data and Content
9.1 Data ownership
All data you enter into Kiboo (pet information, photos, health logs, etc.) remains your property. Kiboo makes no ownership claim over your content.
9.2 Licence
You grant Kiboo a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use your data solely to provide the Service (including AI processing, backup and synchronisation). This licence terminates automatically upon account deletion.
9.3 AI-generated content
Nutrition plans, exercise and training guides and AI responses generated by Kiboo are available for your personal use only. They may not be resold or published as professional veterinary content.
9.4 Data portability
You can request an export of your data in a structured format (JSON) at any time by writing to hello@kiboo.pet.
10. AI Service, Limitations and Disclaimer
In particular, Kiboo's AI:
- Does not make medical diagnoses
- Does not prescribe medications or treatments
- May make mistakes and provide inaccurate information
- Does not know your pet's full clinical history
- Does not replace a physical examination by a vet
- May not be up to date with the latest veterinary guidelines
Kiboo is not responsible for any damages arising from the application of AI recommendations. The user uses such information at their own risk.
11. Intellectual Property
The Kiboo Service, including trademark, logo, design, user interface, source code, AI algorithms and editorial content, is the exclusive property of Simone Cislaghi or respective licensors, protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction, distribution, modification or commercial use of the Service without prior written consent is prohibited. Only personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kiboo will not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages from use or inability to use the Service
- Loss of data, profits, goodwill or business opportunities
- Damages from decisions made based on AI recommendations
- Service interruptions due to force majeure (see sec. 15)
- Damages caused by unauthorised access to the account attributable to the user
Kiboo's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event, or €100.00 if no payments were made.
These limitations do not apply to damages caused by Kiboo's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor do they limit rights that cannot be excluded by law in favour of consumers.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kiboo, its collaborators, suppliers and assigns from any claim, damage, loss or cost (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your infringement of third-party rights through use of the Service
- Content you upload that infringes others' rights or applicable regulations
14. Suspension and Termination
14.1 Suspension by Kiboo
Kiboo may suspend or terminate your account with immediate effect in the event of:
- Violation of these Terms (in particular sec. 8)
- Fraudulent or abusive conduct
- Non-payment of subscriptions
- Order from a competent judicial or administrative authority
14.2 Service discontinuation
In the event of permanent discontinuation of the Kiboo Service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice by email, during which you can export all your data. Payments for the period after discontinuation will be refunded pro-rata.
15. Force Majeure
Kiboo is not responsible for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including third-party service outages (Supabase, Stripe, Google, Anthropic), cyber attacks, natural disasters, pandemics, network outages or public authority measures.
16. Changes to the Service and Terms
Kiboo reserves the right to modify these Terms. In the event of material changes:
- We will send you a notification by email at least 30 days before the effective date
- We will display a notice in the app
- We will update the 'Last updated' date on this page
Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the parties agree to attempt an amicable resolution within 30 days.
In the absence of agreement, the Court of Milan shall have jurisdiction, unless the user is a consumer, in which case the court of the consumer's place of residence shall have jurisdiction.
EU consumers may also use the European online dispute resolution platform (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
